notes: Appears to be identical to the prototype displayed at the Moscow Polytechnic Museum and shown at the top of page 111 of Princelle 2nd Edition, with the exception of a deeply and widely engraved logo on the front (different from the series and the pre-series models). This example is identical, even to the engraving, to the camera (serial # 0000010) that is shown in the 1967 FED MICRON manual.

Features: On-axis Newtonian viewfinder (no coupled rangefinder); Cds meter surrounding the front lens element, with a simple automatic exposure program which sets the proper speed according to the diaphram that has been pre-set by the user; Shutter speeds of 1/30 - 1/800 sec. B and Sync; Bright-line vertical viewfinder with focusing distances and exposure speeds shown along sides; Hinged back (the production series has a removable back); Handstrap & soft leather case

Measurements: 4.5" wide x 3" tall x 2" deep (including non-detachable lens).

The Micron series was produced from 1968-1986 (120,796 units) and a full-frame version, the Micron-2, was produced from 1978-1987 (34,946 units).
