The famous soviet camera repairman Isaak Maizenberg emigrated to US in early 1980's. Beeing the successful author of spectacular soviet book "Camera Repair" (issued in 3 editions in years 1961, 1962 and 1964), Maizenberg compiled and issued the first catalogue about soviet cameras in 1984-1985. Although the book under name "First Complete Guide to 110 Russian Cameras from 1929 to 1984" is printed on the cheap paper, with painted camera samples and many grammar mistakes, it still remains as the first soviet camera catalogue issued outside the Soviet Union.
