Best lens for Leningrad?

5 posts in this thread
I am considering buying a Leningrad body right now, and I would like to ask which lens to buy for it.

I heard that some m39 lenses do not fit on the camera. plus, I do not want to put on any extra finder on the shoe...

which lens do you recommend?? :)
Leningrad camera has a protuberance in the body just above camera lens flange. That way ONLY Russian lens fit well with one eception the Russar MR-2 that will not fit!
Komura lenses for Leica for example do not fit A vey small and rare Hexanon fits the camera. Normally lenses with external focus lever from Leitz, Canon and other Japanese makers do not fit the camera.
Once you have the lens in your hands try to fit them into the camera. Avoid lenses with intenal focusing slides like Hektor 13.5cm and Triotar 135mm They will brake the rangefinder!

But lens like Skopar 35/2.5 Pancake v.I really not mounting on Leningrad.

This is a surprise to me! Long ago I saw that the White face Russars did not fit.
Have you ever tried the old Russar series?

Black Russar: that ring diameter = 51mm

My friend, who have White Russar ¹00915, measured his ring diameter and it's too 51mm
