The Foton-3 is an enlarger timer and print exposure meter. It can be used as a stand-alone timer, but is more useful when the probe is employed to measure negative densities on the enlarger easel. It can then automatically set the exposure time to suit the negative and degree of enlargement. Manufactured in Sverdlovsk by the Izgotovitel Factory in the 1970s.
