Horizon D-L3

2010

Zenit, the Russian producer, known for relatively simple panoramic cameras from Horizon, ventured to the D-L3 to step into the digital age. The camera will be available to the end of the year and cost between € 1000 and 1500:

The camera is being developed in a joint venture between Zenit and Silvestri and was presented at the photokina as non-functional plastic model. The D-L3 (based on small picture) has three lenses Zenitar 3,5 / 28 mm and three 5MP CMOS sensors, which are arranged on a circular arc. The advantage of this design is the ability to create three images exactly at the same time. The stitching of the three shots does not happen in the camera, but on a PC program, which will be supplied with the camera. The hardware and the software comes from Zenit Silvestri from Italy.

The Italian family Silvestri is known for their analog medium format cameras .
