Russar MR-2 for Kiev

An extremely rare Russar MR2 wide angle 20mm 5.6 originally made for Zorki and FED, could also be adapted for rangefinder Kiev cameras. KMZ furnished the optical module and Arsenal the adapter. This odd adaptation uses the inner focusing helicoid of Kiev cameras. The inner adapter has its own scale. Camera rangefinder becomes useless for right focus. Very low production numbers -extremely rare odd ball

Two prototype versions of Russar MR-2 for Kiev cameras The first one Nº 00651 have no focus nor distance scale
The second one Nº 03210 has its own focusing scale. And is owned by our fried Alain Berry.
Both lens couple to the inner bayonet mount of the Original 1947 Kiev, Kiev 2, Kiev 3, 2 A 3 A , 4, 4 A, 4 M, 4 AM and the prototype Kiev 7. but cannot be used on Kiev 5 and their variations once there is no inner bayonet lock in these models this complements our previuos entry
