"KRAB" Underwater Housing for Leningrad Camera
This unit is a fully waterproof molded and painted aluminum housing for use with the GOMZ Leningrad 35mm camera.
factory : LOMO / Leningrad, USSR ....... year: circa 1960 / limited production
notes : This unit is beautifully made and finished. It comes with many attachments that are affixed to the camera and then fitted into the body of the "KRAB" so that all of the functions of the camera work, including focusing, aperture adjustment, winding the automatic spring-motor / shutter-cocking mechanism, and of course, tripping the shutter release. It has a folding viewfinder on the top with wide-angle and normal lens framing.
The unit also comes with extra attachments that look like they will fit another camera, maybe a FED or Zorki, but I have not tried to fit either yet. The waterproof lid is held in place by the lever-action handles.
Shown with a 1958 Leningrad in place, it looks like a crab, and is fully operational!
